Separate data sets without view with a different mask masks

This blog explains how have choice not in one of the masks available to export/records. Until the time that I modify not mask functionality find it was quite difficult, seek to achieve in MDM and requires a lot of thinking. So check it out as select/export with this property are not in each with a different mask “records without mask” of records masks available.

I take example with two masks (Mask1 and Mask2), can you as per your number of masks in the MDM Data Manager manages.

Logic is quite simple: Records with no mask = total number of records in repository – total number of records in Mask1 – total number of records in Mask2

Procedure:
First, create a new mask with the name tell is without mask masks table, if you select masks table as your current table, as shown below:

Masks Table

Now you choose main table again as your current table. Now reset search that show available records X of X (all records) in your data manager, go to the records section, select all records by CTRL + A, then right click–> Add to the mask–> records without mask. So, these records without mask contain all records of your repository.

Now in search select Mask1 show the number of records in this mask from the total number of records in data manager to the available Prameters. Go to file–> export in text–> as shown below.

Text

A popup window will be, here select a single field simply (export fields from available fields) which has unique value for each record in your data manager available. It can be your display field (DF).

popup

A text file is used by SAP MDM Data Manager, contains all available export records to your Mask1. Similarly, you have to do for the remaining masks. I mean here for Mask2 as well.

Now you have available two local text files available on your desktop according to the number of records in Mask1 and Mask2.

Now go to data-manager–> reset search. Then go to–> records change mask

left

Once click Change mask is a popup window, as shown below. Change mask–> you choose process to remove from file (radio button) and source records (radio button)–> also, make sure that you masks as data sets without maskof available masks and then press the OK button selected. Select the Mask1 text file and thats it.

Modify Mask

Now, you see, that the records from the mask draws without mask now has reduced, because you have removed the number of records that are available in Mask1.

You do it again for the remaining mask Simialrly, for Mask2, that is, go here–> you to data manager–> reset search–> go change mask–> you choose process to remove from file (radio button) and source records (radio button)–> make you also sure you masks as selected records without mask of available masks and then press the OK button. Now mask records without mask which have the exact number of records that are available in one of the mask.

Note: Even if you have some common data sets available, where both masks, the Mask1 and Mask2 is, need not to worry about it. It works fine.

Scenario example: I have 10 records in data manager.
Material number (DF):
Mat-Nr 1
Mat Nr. 2
No. 3-mat
Mat-Nr. 4
Mat Nr. 5
Mat Nr. 6
No. 7-mat
Mat-Nr. 8
Mat Nr. 9
No. 10-mat

After the export records for Mask1 say it has these under records.
Mat-Nr 1
Mat Nr. 2
Mat-Nr. 8
No. 10-mat

After the export records for Mask2 say it has these under records.
No. 3-mat
Mat-Nr. 4
Mat-Nr. 8
Mat Nr. 9

Here, though Mask2 Mat. 8 is available common data set in the Mask1 has, it will not fail if you change records from file for Mask2 operation remove mask, do.

So, as soon as you created say a mask records without mask , all 10 records contain. You have entries from Mask1, which leads to remove 6 records, is the 10-4 = 6

If we do it for Mask2, if it is 4 records but a record, Mat-Nr. 8 already removed because of Mask1, so it is subtracted 3 records. That is to say 6: 3 = 3. So, now you have mask records without mask , which is only 3 required and desired result.
Mat Nr. 5
Mat Nr. 6
No. 7-mat

So in this way, you can export these records mask MDM data available under records without mask with SAP Manager or MDM Syndicator.
